About Us - All Work and Play

Speech and Language Specialties (SLS) was designed to diagnose and provide specialized speech and language therapy to children with neurological and developmental disorders. At SLS we believe in a multidisciplinary therapy approach to meet the individual needs of each child. We collaborate with your child’s therapeutic and educational teams. This includes student observation, staff consultation, independent evaluations, IEP review and development. Speech and language therapy may consist of intense one on one training, group therapy, or verbal behavior using the functional units of language as defined by B.F. Skinner and the research of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Our philosophy is that parents and extended family are an integral part of the therapy process. It is our goal to specifically train parents and family members so that they can support positive progress and encourage generalization.
